Christian Christoph Ritter, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Maria Dorothea are recorded on the 1767 census of Enders in Household No. 10. They had settled in Enders on 27 July 1765.
The 1767 census records that Christian Christoph Ritter came from the German village of Neubrandenburg in the Mecklenburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Ritter family among the Volga German colonies.
