Rohn (Basel)*
Hieronymus Rohn, his wife Anna, and daughters (Katharina, age 10½; Anna, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. 42 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Basel. They had settled in Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767. The movement tables that accompany the 1798 census of Ernestinendorf record that, in 1769, Hieronymus Rohn and his family moved from Ernestinendorf to Basel.
His daughter Anna Margaretha Rohn from Basel is recorded on the 1798 census of Zürich in Household No. Zr20.
The 1767 census records that Hieronymus Rohn came from the German village of Stangenrod in the Hessen region.
There are no known surviving male descendants of this Rohn family among the Volga German colonies.
