Andreas Rosental, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the hooker Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Rosental came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that Andreas Rosenthal came from the German village of Selzen in the Kurpfalz.
