Johannes Rossmann, a linenweaver (Leineweber), and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Johannes Rohsmann [sic] and his wife Catharina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johannes Rossmann, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Heinrich (age ¼) are recorded on the 1767 census of Frank in Household No. 109. They had arrived in Frank on 1 September 1767.
Johann Heinrich Rossmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Walter in Household No. Wt108.
The passenger list in Oranienbaum records that Johannes Rossmann came from the German village of Gersfeld.
