Andreas Roth, a carpenter, and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax. Arriving with them is Widow Anna Rod who may be the mother of Andreas Roth.
Andreas Rothe [sic], his wife Catharina, and son Jacob (born en route) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn son Jacob also died en route. Widow Anna Rod [sic] who may be the mother of Andreas Roth is also traveling with them.
Andreas Roth [one translation records this surname as Rönke], a carpenter (Zimmermann), and his wife Louise settled in the Volga German village of Boisroux on 7 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 72.
Widow Louise Roth née Wolf and her son Gottlieb are recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Household No. Bx14.
Gottlieb Roth and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Boisroux in Household No. 22.
The death of Gottlieb Roth in 1849 is recorded on the 1850 census of Boisroux in Household No. 26.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Rönke [sic] came from the German village of Oranienbaum in the Dessau region.
