Discussion & Documentation:

Frantz David Roth from Abendtheur & Anna Eleonora Möbus from Büdingen were married 5 June 1766 in Büdingen.

David Roth, a farmer, his wife Eleonora, and son Johann Michael (age 5½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg. This Johann Michael is believed to be Johann Michael Guttmann.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 52.

Both the Büdingen marriage register and the 1767 census records that David Roth is from the German village of Abentheuer.
