Lamber Rouflos, a mason (macon), ox merchant (marchand de boeufs), and plowman (laboureur), age 18, is recorded on a list of French colonists dated September 1764.

Rambe Roufosse [sic], a single soldier (Soldat), settled in the Volga German colony of Franzosen on 28 July 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31 along with a note that he was working as a day-laborer for Recruitor Pictet.

The 1764 list of colonists records that Lamber Rouflos came from the French region of Liège. The 1767 census records that Rambe Roufosse came from the village of Liège in the Lebrand [?] region.
