The baptism of the Anna Margaretha Rühn [sic], daughter of Johann Conrad Rühn, is recorded on the parish register of Niedermittlau on 10 April 1707. She married Heinrich Tönges from Niedergründau.
The baptisms of two children of Heinrich Tönges [sic] and Anna Margaretha Rähn [sic] are recorded in the parish register of Niedergründau: (1) Johann Heinrich; and (2) Johann Georg, born 12 June 1747, baptized 16 June 1747.
Johann [Heinrich] Tönges, his mother Anna Margaretha, and brother Johann Georg (age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.
Johann Georg Tenius [sic], a single farmer, and his mother Eva [sic] Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 64.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
