Jakob Rupp, a farmer, and his wife Judith are recorded on the 1767 census of Dreispitz in Household No. 30. They had settled in Dreispitz on 20 July 1767.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Rupp came from the German village of Witt? in the Sipachisch region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Rupp family among the Volga German colonies.
