Georg Rutz, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 17 July 1766 aboard a pink named Lev (Lion) under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.
Johann Georg Rutz, a farmer, his wife Anna Eva, and daughter Katharina Elisabeth (age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 97. They had settled in Dönhof on 18 June 1767.
Widower Georg Rutz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh102.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Georg Rutz came from the German region of Darmstadt.
