Sack (Rosenheim)*
Philipp Sack, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65 along with his new wife [Eva] Elisabeth [Henneberg(er). [She is the daughter of Johann Casper Henneberg(er) and Elisabeth Margaretha Märtin, and was born in Weißenbach near Zeitlofs.]
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Sack came from the German region of Dienheim while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Zentlaf [perhaps Zeitlofs].
There are no known surviving male lines of this Sack family among the Volga German colonies.
