Konrad Saltzmann, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, children (Katharina, age 10¼; Elisabeth, age 1¼), and his mother-in-law Anna Elisabeth [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 28 July 1766 aboard a Russian pink named Vologda [an historic Russian city] under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.
Konrad Saltzmann (age 33), a farmer, his wife Elisabeth (age 33), children (Katharina, age 10; Elisabeth, age 3), and mother-in-law Eva Elisabeth [surname not recorded] are recorded on the 1767 census of Müller in Household No. 25 along with the single man Jakob Weigandt (age 20). They had arrived in Müller on 16 August 1767. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Saltzmann and Weigandt families. [See Weigandt Family.]
They settled in the Volga German colony of Müller on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Saalzmann came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that Konrad Saltzmann came from the German village of Nordeck in the Hessen region.
