Konrad Saltzmann, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Müller on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Saltzmann came from the German village of Nordeck in the Hessen region.
