Friedrich Schäfer, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Magdalena (age 8) settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 1 March 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48.
The 1767 census records that Friedrich Schäfer came from the German village of Oberramstadt.
