Schäfer (Müller)
Johannes Schäfer from Brauerschwend married on 25 June 1756 in Hopfgarten to Eva Elisabeth Schönhals, daughter of Johann Henrich & Elisabeth Schönhals. Eva Elisabeth had been born in Rainrod on 26 April 1723.
Johannes Schäfer & Eva Elisabeth Schönhals had the following children: (1) Anna Catharina, born 30 March 1757 in Hergensdorf; (2) Johann Heinrich, born 25 May 1759 in Hergensdorf; (3) Eva Elisabeth, born 20 October 1762 in Rainrod; and (4) Johann Georg, born 5 March 1766 in Rainrod.
Johann[es] Schäfer a farmer, his wife Eva Elisabeth and children (Johann Heinrich, age 8; Eva Elisabeth, age 4; Johann Georg, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German Colony of Müller on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 4.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Schäfer came from the German village of Rainrod in the Darmstadt region.
