Johann Michael Schad, son of Michael Schad, was born on 14 February 1719 in Ruppertsburg and baptized there on 19 February 1719. Johann Michael Schad married on 12 July 1753 in Ruppertsburg to Anna Margaretha Port who had been born there on 6 September 1722.
They had two children born/baptized in Ruppertsburg: (1) Elisabetha, born 25 June 1754, baptized 27 June 1754; and (2) Johann Heinrich, born 2 November 1756, baptized 5 November 1756. A note on the entry for Johann Heinrich records that he went to Russia in 1766.
Michael Schadt, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Elisabeth, age 14½; Johann [Heinrich], age 12) family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.
Johann Michael Schad, a farmer, his [new] wife Anna Eva, their son Konrad (age 1-month), and his children by his first wife (Elisabeth, age 16; Johann Heinrich, age 13) are recorded on the 1767 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 67. They had arrived in Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767.
Widow [Anna] Eva Schardt [sic] and her daughter Maria Barbara are recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks069.
Heinrich Schardt [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks042.
Heinrich Schardt [sic] and his sons are recorded on the 1811 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 43 along with a note that son Johann Jost Schardt [sic] relocated to the colony of Susannental in 1810.
Joseph [sic] Schadt and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Susannental in Household No. 19.
The death of Heinrich Schadt in 1828 is recorded on the 1834 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 37.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Schadt came from the German region of Laubach.
