Franz Scheitwahl (age 5) arrived with his mother and stepfather (Karl Lobinger) from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 97 along with his mother and stepfather.
There do not appear to be any descendants with this surname among the Volga German colonies.
