Georg Schett, a single miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Elisabeth Catharina under the command of Skipper Heinrich Ludwig Gottknecht.
Georg Schepp / Schett, a butcher (Fleischer), settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 122 along with a note that his wife had died during the trip under the command of Oberleutenant Dunkel.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Schett came from the German region of Tirol. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Innsburg [Innsbruck?] in the Tirol region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
