Scherer (Paulskaya)
Heinrich Scherer, a farmer, his wife, and children (Johann, age 11; Anna, age 8; Johannes, age ¾) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Joh. Heinr. Scherer, his wife Anna Catharina, and children (Johann Conrad, age 11; Maria, age 8; Johannes, age 1¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents along with daughter Maria and son Johannes died en route.
The widow and children of Johann Konrad Scherer are recorded on the 1798 census of Paulskaya in Household No. Pl43.
