Discussion & Documentation:

Johann Ernst Scheuermann, a tailor, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Ernst Scheuermann came from the German village of Landsendorf in the Braunfels region. This is probably Lützendorf, which is just a few kilometers southwest of Braunfels.
