Schiffler (Stahl am Karaman)
Margaretha Elisabeth Schieffler, daughter of Borchert [sic] Schieffler & Maria Catharina Krämer, was baptized on 20 June 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelical Kirche Dome) in Lübeck.
Bernhard Schiffler, a farmer, his wife Maria, and daughters (Anna, age 6; Margaretha, age 4; Elisabeth, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.
Bernhard Schiffler and his new wife Anna Regina are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. 31. They had settled there on 22 June 1767.
Widow Regina Schiffler and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. Sk06.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Bernhard Schiffler came from the German region of Dienheim.
