Magnus Schilling, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37 along with his new bride Katharina who was from the region of Zweibrücken.
he 1767 census records that Magnus Schilling came from the German region of Würzburg.
