Schindler (Keller)
An article by Wilhelm Funk records the following going to Russia:
Aug. Schindler, farmer (Bauersmann), son of the deceased Mich. Schindler, a farmer (Bauer) in Schwassing in Bohemia, & Anna Bloneck, daughter of the deceased thomas Bloneck, Imperial grenadier (Kayserl. Königl. Grenadier), both Catholic, were married on 2 June 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Wöhrd.
August[inus] Schindler, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heinrich Sager.
August Schindler and his wife Anna are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65.
The 1767 census records that Augustinus Schindler came from the German village of Schwassing bei Mühl in the region of Böhmen (Bohemia).
