Andreas Schlosser and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 August 1766. Andreas died and his widow remarried to Matthias Schäfer. The former widow Schlosser and her children are recorded on the 1767 census of Louis in Household No. 50.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Schlosser came from the German village of Saargemünd in the region of Lothringen.
