Schmidt (Boisroux-6)
Johann Michael Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Christina, and children (Maria, age 16½; Johann, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Joh. Mich. Schmit [sic], his wife Christiana [sic], and children (Maria Elisabeth, age 17; Johan David, age 10¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 59.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Michael Schmidt came from the German region of Ehlenbruch while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Silenburg.
