Heinrich Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Maria, his son Johann [Daniel] (age 6½), and his father Johann arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 May 1766 aboard a pink named Новая Двинка (New Dvinka [a river in Russia]) under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Heinrich died and his widow remarried to Andeas [Friedrich] Sahlmeier. Friedrich Sahlmeier (age 45), a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Maria Margaretha (age 38), and [step-]son Johann Daniel [Schmidt] (age 7½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Frank in Household No. 2. They had arrived in Frank in 1767. [See Sahlmeier Family.]

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Schmidt came from the German region of Isenburg.
