Schmidt (Frank-2)
Heinrich Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Maria, his son Johann [Daniel] (age 6½), and his father Johann arrived from Reval [Estonia] on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Heinrich died and his widow remarried to Andeas [Friedrich] Sahlmeier [See Sahlmeier Family]. They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank in 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2.
Son Daniel Schmidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk116.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Schmidt came from the German region of Isenburg.
