Catharina Schmidt, daughter of Johannes Schmidt & Elisabeth Sprankel, was born 31 July 1733 in Queckborn.
Conrad Krüger & Catharina Schmidt from Queckborn were married on 11 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen. [See Krieger Family.]
Konrad Krüger, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughter Anna Maria (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pinque named Slon (Elephant) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Konrad Krüger, a farmer, and his wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 163. They had settled there on 15 August 1767.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schmidt family among the Volga German colonies.
