Schmidt (Pfeifer)
Johann Peter Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.
Johann Peter Schmidt and his wife Catarina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 22 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 101.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Peter Schmidt came from the German region of Fulda.
