Elias Schmidt from Stahl am Karaman is recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks063 along with a note that he had been on the Caucasian Line [North Caucasus] before 1793.
Elias Schmidt is recorded on the 1811 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 63 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt in 1804.
The death of Elias Schmidt in 1820 is recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 317.
Johann Philipp Schmidt, son of Elias Schmidt, is recorded on the 1857 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 451 along with a note that he moved to the daughter colony of Rosental in 1856. Philipp Schmidt and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Rosental in Household No. 40 along with a note that they had arrived in Rosental from Katharinenstadt on 5 November 1856.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Schmidt came from the German region of Isenburg. The 1767 census records that Michael Schmidt came from the German region of Dienheim.
