Schmidt (Stahl am Karaman)
Johan Michel Schmidt, a farmer from the area of Wurtzpurg [sic], & Anna Barbara Schneider from the area of Wurtzpurg [sic] were married on 17 June 1766 in Pastor Bruns's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Michael Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Anna Barbara, and son Johannes (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No 42. They had settled there on 22 June 1767.
Elias Schmidt from Stahl am Karaman is recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks063 along with a note that he had been on the Caucasian Line [North Caucasus] before 1793.
Elias Schmidt is recorded on the 1811 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. 63 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt in 1804.
The 1767 census records that Michael Schmidt came from the German village of Dienheim.
