Schmidt (Warenburg-1)
Jakob Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Elisabeth, age 22; Katharina, age 20; Andreas, age 18; Jakob, age 12; Anna, age 8; Katharina Elisabeth, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.
Jakob Schmidt, a farmer, his wife Maria Magdalena, and children (Andreas, age 18; Jakob, age 13; Anna Dorothea, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 52. They had settled there on 12 May 1767.
Son Andreas Schmidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr025.
Son Jakob Schmidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr029.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Schmidt came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Lohrbach in the Darmstadt region.
