Georg Schneider, a farmer, and his wife Barbara Arnold settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.
Gottfried Schneider from Leichtling and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Marienfeld.
The 1767 census records that Georg Schneider came from the German village of Grano [?].
