Johannes Schneider, a single farmer, is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 106 along with a note that he settled in the colony of Ober-Monjou in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Schneider came from the German village of Wernitz.
