Johannes Schneider (age 24), a single farmer, is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 106 along with a note that he settled in the colony of Ober-Monjou in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Schneider came from the German village of Wernitz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schneider family among the Volga German colonies.
