Schneider (Paulskaya-2)
Konrad Schneider, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Conrad Schneyder is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 27 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63 along with his new wife Katharina and orphan siblings Johanna Henicke [?] (age 16) and Gottfried Henicke [?] (age 13). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Schneider and Henicke families.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Schneider came from the German region of Darmstadt while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Fell.
