Schneider (Walter)*
Johann Heinrich Schneider and Anna Margaretha Leer were married in Büdingen on 11 April 1766.
Johann Heinrich Schneider, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38 along with Johann Gotelfocht (20). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Schneider and Gotelfocht families.
The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Schneider came from the German village of Ingantern [?] in the Lobbach region.
The Büdingen marriage register records that both Johann Heinrich Schneider and Anna Margaretha Leer came from the German village of Inheÿden near Traÿss in the area of Laubach.
There are not known surviving male lines of this Schneider family among the Volga German colonies.
