Peter Schön, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johann, age 16¼; Maria, age 8; Anna, age 4¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Henry) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.
Peter Schön is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Households No. 13 to 26 are missing from the available copy of the 1767 census of Preuss, and it is presumed that the Schön family is among those.
Johannes Schön (age 47) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps32.
Johannes Schön (age 27) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps33.
The death of Johannes Schön (age 56) of Preuss is recorded in April 1807 [exact date illegible] in the parish register of Preuss.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Schön came from the German region of Trier.
