Schröder (Norka-1)*

Konrad Schindor [sic], his wife Sabina, and children (Anna, age 19; Konrad, age 17; Johann, age 12; Maria, age 9; Louisa, age 5¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29  August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper John Scott. [This entry isn't included in the list published by Igor Plehve.]

Conrad Schröder, his wife Sophia [sic], and children (Anna Margreta, age 19; Conrad, age 17; Johannes, age 15; Anna Maria, age 12; Louisa, age 5¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Conrad, son Conrad, and daughters Anna Margreta & Louisa died en route.

Widow Sabina Schröder remarried widower Johannes Schnell. She and her two surviving children (Johannes Schröder, age 15; Anna Maria, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 193 along with their stepfather Johannes Schnell.

Maria Catharina Schrödter [sic] & Anna Veronica Schrödter, daughters of the widow Schrödter, were baptized on 25 May 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck. They are also believed to be the twin daughters of the aforementioned deceased Konrad (senior) Schröder.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schröder family among the Volga German colonies.
