Schröder (Philippsfeld)
Johann Heinrich Schröder, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johann Heinrich Schroeder is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 with his new bride Christina. The 1767 census records that he is the mayor (Schulz) of Philippsfeld.
In 1770, Johann Heinrich Schröder and his family moved from Philippsfeld to Saratov.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Heinrich Schröder is a farmer from the German district of Hessen while the 1767 census records that he is a Lieutenant from the German district of Hessen-Kassel.
