Johann Gottfried Schröder, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Schulz on 8 September 1766. He and his family are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.
The 1767 census records that Johann Gottfried Schröder came from the German city of Berlin in the region of Prussia.
