Lorenz Schröder, a farmer, and his wife Anna Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Karaman on 9 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14.
The 1767 census records that Lorenz Schröder came from the German village of Freistadt in Prussia.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schröder family among the Volga German colonies.
