Hubertus Schubert, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.

In 1788, Hubertus Schubert and his family moved from Louis to Mariental.

Hubertus Schubert and his wife Katharina Klein are recorded on the 1798 census of Mariental in Household No. Mt24.

The 1767 census records that Hubertus Schubert came from the German village of Saargemünd in the region of Lothringen.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schubert family among the Volga German colonies.
