Michael Schuhmacher, a farmer, his wife, Christina, and children (Michael, age 17; Johann Jakob, age 5; Anna, age 2¼) arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 April 1766 aboard a two-masted merchant ship named Der Kleine Andreas (The Little Andrew) under the command of Skipper Jacob Jensen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. Son Michael is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Hs027.
Schuhmacher descendants are recorded on the 1834 census of Hussenbach in Households No. 64 & 120.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Schuhmacher came from the region of Danzig.
