Kaspar Schultheis, a farmer, his wife Margaretha Elisabeth, and daughter Charlotta Christina (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767. Widow Margaretha Schultheis is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

The 1767 census records that Margaretha Schultheis came from the German village of Holzhausen in the Darmstadt region.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this Schultheis family among the Volga German colonies.
