In 1786, Friedrich Schulz moved from Schäfer to Katharinenstadt.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Schulz came from the German village of Salzwedel in the Brandenburg region. His wife Elisabeth Eleonora, the widow of an unnamed Mr. Krisnitz, came from the German village of Schwerin in the Mecklenburg region.
