Discussion & Documentation

Konrad Schwabe, a single baker (Bäcker), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census that lists Beauregard recruits (No. 154). The list includes a note that he settled in the Volga German colony of Zürich in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Schwabe came from the German village of Spiegelhof in the Isenburg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
