Discussion & Documentation:

Anna Katharina Schweitzer, a single woman, arrived at the port of Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

She settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29 with a note that she is actually living in the household of Peter Walter. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Schweitzer and Walter families. There is a note on the 1767 census recording that Katharina Schweitzer relocated to the colony of Göbel in 1768.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Anna Katharina Schweitzer came from the German region of Fulda.
