Anna Elisabetha Schwenck, daughter of Johann Matthias Schwenck & Maria Margaretha Laut, was baptized 24 June 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck.
Mathias Schwenk, a hosier (Strumpfwirker), his wife Maria, and children (Johann, age 4; Elisabeth, 8 weeks old) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Mathias Schwenck [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 [alone].
Mathias Schwenk is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Kaneau (No. 44) along with his [new] wife Anna.
The 1798 census of Näb records Mathias Schwenk in Household No. Nb03.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Mathias Schwenk came from the German region of Nassau. The 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Nassau-Usingen.
