Seib (Ober-Monjou)

Johannes Seib & Anna Catharina Reis have the following children, baptized in Ockstadt: (1) Anna Maria, baptized 23 November 1750; (2) Christina, baptized 7 December 1753; (3) Juliana, baptized 19 May 1755; (4) Johanna Margaretha, baptized 19 December 1756; (5) Nicolaus, baptized 28 March 1761; (6) Catharina, baptized 8 February 1764; and (7) Dorothea Elisabeth, baptized 19 February 1766.

Johann Seib, a farmer, his wife Katharina, children (Wilhelm, age 26; Maria, age 22; Christina, age 15; Julianna, age 13; Elisabeth, age 11; Katharina, age 3), and servant Friedrich Fritzhilt [Friedrich Hildt] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Johannes Seib, his wife Catharina, and children (Wilhelm, age 27; Maria Margareta, age 22; Christina, age 15; Julian [sic, a daughter], age 13; Maria Juliana, age 11) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a servant Fritzhildt [Friedrich Hildt] (age 20).

Johannes Sennt [sic], a baker (Bäcker), his wife Katharina, and children (Wilhelm, age 26; Christina, age 15; Julianna, age 13; Elisabeth, age 11; Joseph, age 9-months) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 43 along with the single Friedrich Diehl [sic].

Widow Katharina Seib, daughter Maria Elisabeth, and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. Om25. Wilhelm Seib and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. Om17. Joseph Seib and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. Om63.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Seib came from the German region of Frankenstein. The 1767 census records that Johannes Sennt [sic] came from the German village of Ockstadt.
