Peter Seibert, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboad the ship Der Jager under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.

The 1767 census records that Peter Seibert came from the village of Arlon in Luxembourg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Seibert family among the Volga German colonies.
