François Selesten (age 23) is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 220 along with a note that he was working as a day-laborer (Lohnarbeiter).
The 1767 census does not record from where he came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
