Friedrich Wilhelm Seltenreich, son of Georg Adam & Magdalena Seltenreich was born 6 April 1727 in Lorbach.

The parish register of the Reformed Church of Saints Peter & Paul in Danzig records that Friedrich Seldenreich [sic] from the Pfalz & Anna Catharina Grüs from the Pfalz, widow of a Mr. Grüs, were married on 23 May 1765 in Danzig.

Friedrich Seltenreich, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 1 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Seltenreich came from the German region of Kurpfalz.
