Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Sidikum, a tanner (Gerber), and his wife Dorothea Margaretha Roth settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 along with a note that Friedrich Sidikum was serving as the colony's mayor (Vorsteher).

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Sidikum came from the German village of Göttingen in the Kurfürstentum Hannover.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
